Ella-Bonai is an Artist Manager, Entrepreneur and lover of music. Here's our recent chat with Ella to discuss her favourite recent campaigns and talk about the overlaps between visual creativity and music.

I’m currently working on my acts! I have got a lot of exciting stuff going on at the moment. Hamzaa is gearing up for a single release, we are going to be relentless this year. I am really excited about her campaign and the new sonics she is coming out with. Henrie is killing it, we keep on going from strength to strength, she is a dream and is going to have another great year. I am also really excited about Marshall at the moment, he is one of my developing acts who I believe is going to be next up, his potential is exciting!!!

Creatively at the moment I’m loving creating! Lockdown has really allowed me to clear mental space and tap back into my creative brain. I’ve got loads of ideas on the go at the moment.

This one is really hard, there been so many monumental moments in terms of visuals, all of Michael Jacksons videos, Kanye West Runaway, Fatboy Slim Weapon Of Choice, Beyonce Lemonade. But for me, my all-time favourite music video has to be Missy Elliot The Rain. I remember when I first watched this video my mind was blown! The styling, the choreography, the colours, the lyrics, the simplicity.. Missy Elliot for me was one of the first artists to come out of the box in terms of visuals.

I’ve always loved the album art for Kanye West College Drop Out, it was so simple but impactful.

The best creative campaign of the past year has been Ghetts Conflict Of Interest. The marketing campaign for this project has been A1. From the announcement to the visuals everything has been impeccable.

The most recent brand collab that caught my eye was Nike Air X Dior.

For me the most creative and original music video of the past year is Money Talks Fredo and Dave. The narrative behind it was breathtaking, I can’t remember the last time I’ve been in awe of a music video, I miss the days when music videos enhanced the song and this visual did that for me… whew!

I wish I’d designed the artist logo for Michael Jackson!

Not to be biased, but, you should go follow Henrie and Hamzaa on Instagram.

The most iconic music photograph is Kanye West storming on the stage whilst Taylor Swift is giving her VMA acceptance speech. You could feel the tension and passion!
