To wrap up the year, we're launching Spotlight to focus on Creative Commission members with stories to tell. First up, we hear from Matt Pilcher, who's had a stellar 18 months since launching his creative agency working with some of the biggest names in music. Over to you, Matt...

My name is Matt Pilcher and I run a creative agency called F That. We produce digital content and specialise in interactive and disruptive content. We create interactive games, AR filters, music videos, artwork and loads more.

I've been running the agency since summer 2019 and since then we've grown massively. The majority of our clients are in the music industry and we also work with charities and brands too. This year we've worked on campaigns for Madonna, George Michael, Kylie Minogue, Arcade Fire, The Streets, Disclosure, Clean Bandit, IDLES, James Arthur, Stormzy, Shame and Pantera and Nile Rogers amongst others.

I've worked in music for the past 12 years working in artist management working with bands such as Two Door Cinema Club, Maximo Park and Circa Waves. I also ran the social media department at DawBell and worked at Sony Music prior to setting up my agency.

The thing I love most about my job is getting the opportunity to work with some of my favourite artists. It's amazing to see artists that I've been listening to for years posting the content that I've been working on.

I think the best campaign of 2020 has to be Run The Jewels' RTJ4 album campaign. Everything about the campaign was brilliant from the artwork, the videos and the live stream performance was by far the best I've seen this year.

The creative project that I'm most proud of was getting to produce content for the new IDLES record. I've been a big fan for a long time to part of the campaign was amazing. It was especially great seeing the album getting to #1 which was fully deserved.

I'm a big fan of Erik Winkowski. He has such a distinctive style which is really refreshing. Zach King is another person that I'm a huge fan of. He's really pushing the boundaries of what we can be done with super-smart editing.
