Simple Kinematic Motion Studies
Simple Kinematic Motion is an on-going series of work investigating the rules of classical mechanics for visual composition. The studies explore complex arrangements that result from investigating the rules of kinematic motion to describe motion of points, objects, and systems of interlinked objects. By describing the geometry of the system, geometric transformations are calculated and drawn to explore its properties such as range of movement, speed and the path of motion. The series focuses on the aesthetic quality that these systems can create inside an animated drawing, without being constrained by the physical limitations of a built machine.
