“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff." Carl Sagan, Cosmos

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.” Albert Einstein

A shifting narrative unfolds across projection mapped surfaces - a melting pot of our elemental existence, the world we live in and the universe itself.  Scientific discovery and technological innovation have always had divergent consequences; the universe has its own agenda, regardless of where our human reality leads.

The final piece is 13 minutes long and includes an original soundtrack.

This immersive installation was commissioned by Bolton Museum & Art Gallery with Arts Council England funding as part of a 3 month residency exploring themes and idea around the Museum’s “Elements” exhibition (celebrating International Year of the Periodic Table of the Chemical Elements).
