Modes (band logo and ep design)

I received a brief from a company called Teo Music to design a logo and initial EP cover for the band Modes. After meeting the band and their Manager the conversation of the logo kept coming back and how important it was for them to get this right for them, plus their drummer mentioned the logo need an authenticity and almost vintage feel to it.
