My Loneliness series seeked to visually materialise the emotional stages of loneliness, questionned our need for connection and the psychological effects of its absence. The first image shown is attempting to depict loneliness itself, firing neurons walking in a void trying to connect.

It is reported that despite our online connections, we are feeling lonelier than ever, could loneliness be the underlying issue to our increasing suicide rates in NZ?

The feature piece of this series was a finalist for the 2019 Waikato National Contemporary Art Award.
