In 2016, I made a film about the absurdity of life.
It was a shitty year.
It was a year full of terrorist threats, european refugee crisis, the clownish appearance of the president candidate Trump, the first appearance of "Brexit" and of course let's not forget the year of the death of David Bowie. I remember the cover of a Belgain newspaper in the end of that year, that said: "Let's forget this shit-year as soon as possible".
With this in mind, and with the amazing experimental soundscape of Bruisgeluid (a friended music collective who gave me the assignment), I started to collect found footage from the big collections of archive.org and some archive-footage channels on youtube and made a film that tells the story about all the anger, rage and fear but also the beauty, hope and the ridiculousness of life.
