Back at it with the wonderful The Xcerts, during September 2017 we were back in Brighton shooting a brand new music video for the second single from their new album “Daydream” which can be seen above.

This music video was a lot of fun to make. Jordan and Tom are seen at the beginning approaching Murray’s house, already running late for their show and Murray is nowhere to be found. Cut to an interior shot of Murray’s bathroom and we see him fully clothed, eyes open being weird in the bath fully clothed in a true 80s movie style.

After which the remainder of the music video is a mixture of fun car rides, lots and lots of running and schizophrenic random imagery depicting Murray’s thoughts as he daydreams under the water holding his breath. We eventually see Murray arrive at the very empty music venue. He casually and confidently strolls to the stage and the band kick into the last chorus. We cut to a full venue with The Xcerts clearly blowing the crowd out of the water with their brand new single. We then cut back to realize that again Murray may have been daydreaming the crowd and performance, or maybe even all of it was a daydream?

I’d like to thank everyone involved with this production as we were able to achieve a lot thanks to the kindness of people giving up their time to help. From Alex and Freddy for their awesome in car performances, the crew who all worked super hard over one long day to capture everything, Julian for his usual awesomeness, The Xcerts for always giving me just one more take, the guy that let us use his awesome vintage Datsun, the people at The Haunt in Brighton for allowing us to film the video there, the gaffers who did an amazing job with the venue lighting, all of the people that turned up to be part of the crowd and Jerome for not trying to stab us this time!

Until the next time, enjoy this fun loving music video that is the perfect accompaniment to this ridiculously catchy song.
