About Maria:

Born and raised in the Midwest, she was inspired by her large, Italian immigrant family, who were vivid storytellers. Maria's interest in film sparked at an early age, when her father would let her watch the gritty films of the 70s and 80s. As a teen, she would enlist her family and friends to act out plays and movies in her parents' basement. After eight years of training in the theater, her love of performing arts developed into an obsession with on-screen cinema. In 2012, Maria graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Film.

Over the course of her career, Maria has been involved with over 75 major productions in film, television, and theater. Armed with an extensive knowledge of film, including both foreign cinema and documentary, she is passionate about telling stories that have an authenticity and realism-films that have something to say about the human experience.
