Now based in LA/London Michael made his start in the music industry art directing and designing album campaigns for the Talkin’ Loud label with classics for Roni Size and MJ Cole (at Intro & Attik) then on into directing a #1 music video for act ’Shapeshifters’. Taking these keen visual sensibilities he has shot ads with some of the world’s best athletes for Nike, Adidas, Reebok etc. A confidence with celebrities has seen him chosen to direct everyone from David Beckham to Messi and Richard Branson.

With an MFA and a powerful visual aesthetic he crafts original beautiful frames across a range of formats. Recently he wrote and directed editorial shorts for Nowness (‘Mila’) & Afropunk (‘Stay Woke’) digital magazines (‘Internal’ was picked up by the British Council for international representation) and has explored longform content with 1-hour documentary ‘What Rio Did…’ for ITV / Manchester United. His sculpture ‘Native’ was selected for ‘The LA Billboard Art Project’ by The Billboard Creative and displayed on, you guessed it, a billboard in LA 2016/17. He has also staged live events, projecting onto a 25ft mist screen on the Thames for Puma and broadcasting an hour of live tv with Jessie J for McDonalds.

His unique eye has art directed and designed original visuals for cool unique artists and he has shot films for some of the world’s most recognized brands. He always brings a wealth of original ideas and sharp aesthetic sensibilities to every project he takes on.
