Tom Rees and Olivia Taussig produce printed and moving matter with an emphasis on hand drawn and analogue techniques to create irregular and illuminated works. Olivia’s haunted drawings rendered in graphite, ink and watercolour washes are juxtaposed by Tom’s heavy lined woodblock prints. Together their work emits a heady mixture of rupture and lust where skulls and sports cars inhabit eerie landscapes. Instances of fragility and calm, such as grazing rabbits or reclining women, appear in their work adding to the atmosphere of disquiet as the viewer wonders what end may come to these unsuspecting bunnies. Their world is one full of private scenes no longer private , a world lit up by car headlights with prowlers peering in.
