My initial interest was in 3D, designing and throwing tableware of which I still have a great love for and keen interest in. I have a practical perspective which along with a good eye enables me to know how designs fit and work together.

A love of colour naturally progressed me towards surface pattern. This led to producing commissions and promotional work for events and venues in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. I became more excited by this side of my work as it gave me the freedom to experiment and grow as a designer. In turn, this gave me a better understanding of visual communication and the design process.

This was the beginning of the NQ, a vibrant and creative hub. The social scene fed my love of music and clubbing which led to a collaboration with Sunday club, Aficionado. Since then, my role has involved helping a wide range of clients to visualise their sound through a discussion of genre, demographic and musical style. I identify keywords that express their brand and from these develop a range of visual ideas to present back to the client.

I am skilled in the production of cover art, record middles and promotional materials including clothing. I then see this through from initial idea to artwork to liaising with the printing team, achieving the correct finish for the product.

I enjoy multi-tasking and am flexible enough to react quickly and efficiently to change whilst working to strict deadlines.
