My background in arts administration lends me a unique capacity for creating engaging public art while working in set parameters to find creative solutions. I am accustomed to managing large-scale budgets, sub-contractors, and installations. I am currently under a $300,000 contract with Charlotte's CATS Transit’s light rail extension. This includes the I-277 and 11th St. overpass pedestrian corridor murals, a signal house wrap, and the 25th St. Station art. At times, my work integrate mosaics, murals, laminated film and glass windscreens, laser cut metal, and powder coating into existing structures. I recently worked with an artist team including Juan Logan Studios, Groundworks Studio, and Carrie Gault mosaics on the Freedom Walkway, painting the first civil rights mural in Rock Hill, SC. Past projects include bus shelter art for Triangle Transit in Durham, 8 historical murals for the City of Concord, NC and a trip to Berlin, Germany to paint a United Buddy Bear sculpture, now in uptown Charlotte. Lastly, I have completed large murals for UNC Charlotte and the City of Charlotte through the ASCl.

I have navigated with several moving parts and decision-makers, from art committees, the community, city councils, architects, engineers, and administrators. I work with local or national contractors. Every project has unforeseen challenges; often parameters change, thus I am flexible in altering them to deliver a cohesive and impactful end result in a timely manner.
