We are Ceven Knowles and Han Van Acoleyen, The Mirror is our collaborative multimedia art and video production service helping musicians and bands find new ways to visually express themselves through music video and live video for performance. We’ve known and worked with each other since May 2004 through various projects and incarnations. Ten years later, we decided to officially join forces and create this production group.

We both have extensive backgrounds working with musicians of different genres: pop, electronic, rock, rockabilly, freeform, improvisational jazz, rap, experimental, modern, and country music and enjoy the collaborative process often ending in long-term musician-visual artist relationships that have lasted through several projects. Most of our experience comes from working with non-signed independent musicians on a tight budget so we know how to work within such means.

We experiment with various analog and digital formats in both photography and video and try to give each project its own unique universe and sense of physics. Our inspiration comes from Nature, metaphysics, spirituality, science, and technology and we try to make work that is with conscience and appreciation of the environment and our immediate surroundings. While we are Berlin-based, either or both of us is available for outside Germany as well.
