Valerie Nelson is a Graphic Designer and Visual Artist constantly creating colorful works along with handmade typography. Valerie was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she fell in love with saltwater and gardenias. She studied Visual Arts at A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in Florida (Dipl. 2012), and studied Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA 2016). Valerie has been a Designer at RISD's Design Guild, has worked with Mamone & Partners in Toronto, and has also been an Imaging Technician at the RISD Museum, where she learned about digital archival processes. Now she is a Freelance Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and Painter, living in Rhode Island.
