Phd Thesis Cover Design

This is the cover design of a doctoral thesis about patients’ recovery from burn injury, commissioned by the author Dr. Emelie Gauffin. During the design process we came to the conclusion that, considering the findings of the thesis, the cover design would express a hopeful approach to the subject. We decided to use feathers in the design – suggesting the symbolism of the Phoenix bird.
