Inspiration for this project is taken from a mixture of people, places, history and innovation, but mainly from the talent which has emerged from Mexico. As humans, we often find ourselves in labyrinth type scenarios; look- ing for a way out. As people, we go through suffering and sacrifices, and we learn from defeat. The meaning of the labyrinth is the constant struggle we face when finding a solution that allows us to move forward.

Labyrinths remind us of where we came from, and where we want to go. The labyrinth’s function is to proj- ect and elevate the people of Mexico who show excep- tional talent, yet to also show how Mexico can grow as a nation, each person helping the other with indi- vidual talents, to become a creatively united country. This piece is a combination of digital art, real time rendering, real time capture of social media, motion

capture and algorithms, all working together in or- der to create the images that appear in the building. Using various techniques of video mapping and some of the latest software available, the piece looks at what can be done when all the different disciplines come together as one. This piece is Satore’s first collaboration with Johnnie Walker and the English National Ballet’s Principal Danc- er, Isaac Hernandez, as the character in motion capture.
