When me and Cherri V first worked together, it was on the dark background portraits. While putting together the mood board, I struggled to find existing projects that I liked where the model had braids. Everything I found was very generic and in my opinion, boring. This is when I decided to make her braids the feature!
The next time Cherri V got in contact, I thought, "f**k, now i have to think of another new way to feature her braids!?" - then she turned up with these 2 amazing outfits and I was instantly inspired. Coiling up the braids into buns created a very powerful look, so I matched that with the red jacket and black items to create a 'bossy' look with a slightly dark edge.
The silver jacket looked its best when it was being played with, so I blasted her favourite song through the speakers in my studio and let her be free and vibe to it while I was continuously shooting.

This shoot is my favourite to date!
