Creative direction for by Marvellous

In 2013, we were commissioned to create concepts for the new Christmas advertising campaign for The Whitgift Shopping Centre in Croydon. We delivered several concepts and one based around pantomime characters was chosen. Although the artwork was to be created in-house, we were asked to organise and art direct the photo shoot.

A Brighton photographer that we have used many times in the past was booked and they took care of finding models for the shoot: a dame and a genie. Although the dame brought her own make-up, clothes, wigs and accessories, a make-up artist was hired for the genie and fancy dress shops sought for his costumes.

The final images, when retouched were to be used on everything from flyers to 48 sheet posters so we had to make sure we could get the best out of the day-long session as possible.
