Sleep Machine

Fictionist, a nationally-touring band from Utah, hired me to create surreal, looping projections for the debut performance of their 2017 concept album, "Sleep Machine."

Additionally, I was tasked with the challenge of syncing my footage to Fictionist’s live performance, including several songs that would be performed without a click track. I teamed up with programmer Andrew Jensen to customize a Max MSP patch for a MIDI controller, which allowed me to control the speed of the animation with a dial. Throughout the performance, I was able to manually speed up or slow down the animation to match the live performers.
