Perihelion - örvény (2018)

Perihelion and director Norbert Crowfield conjured up a new world in “Örvény”, the band’s brand new video.This is not the first collaboration between Perihelion and Crowfield, as the band’s video for their song “Feneketlen” was also created by the director, who is also known for his directing work on the movie “Álmatlan” (Dreamless). Feneketlen, a 2016 music video which won two movie awards, constantly increases tension through different storylines, before the eventual fall of its symbols. However, Örvény has a straight line of storytelling and dwells in a balladistic world.

“Selecting which song to shoot a video for was kind of a headache for us, but we eventually decided to stick to our original idea and contacted Norbert to create a video for the title track. The end result shows a breathtakingly special imagery. In addition, Norbert managed to come up with something that is totally one with the music and this is the main thing for us.” - Gyula Vasvári, Perihelion.

Perihelion’s second full-length “Örvény” was released by the French label Apathia Records in 2017. The video for the album’s title track is a novel-like declaration based on experiencing emotions, creating a coherent piece with the music and using cinematic language. “Dreaming awake, evoking and experiencing fear channelling from a dark and indescribable shadow” - Norbert Crowfield
