Piano Man

A lovely one off Photography/Digital Art commission created for a superb piano player titled the Piano Man.

He LOVES his piano and he wanted something to really reflect his moments when he relaxes and writes music, sat poised at his piano, smoking a roll-up and getting into the jazzy flow that he does only so well.

I was so very happy to have been involved in this shoot and even more the creative process behind it and the digital artwork and composition that came with it.

I initially shot his piano from a few angles to get the right look and feel, trying out various lighting techniques to give that smokey jazz-club atmosphere, I then shot The Piano Man using a mobile studio setup, replicating the original lighting from the left and right.

The outcome was amazing and the 40x40cm print which he now has framed looks absolutly incredible no matter how close you look at it.
