Rupture in Amsterdam: Aftermovie, Teaser & Event Visuals

As a long time afficionado of jungle/ drum and bass by way of dj-ing, partying, producing music and promoting, I thought it was high time to introduce my favourite London underground night Rupture to Amsterdam.

The Rupture movement began as a way to showcase the experimental side of the drum and bass spectrum in London. After a 13 year long series of successful parties in London, UK, (featuring many major artists and legends of the British and international) jungle D&B scene, Rupture expanded to the Netherlands and made their Amsterdam debut on Friday 27th December 2019 at the legendary Melkweg in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The line up for that night consisted of artists who are very forward thinking in their selection, production and performance. The Rupture founders Mantra and Double-O played, as well as dnb don Loxy, Sully who's known for his crisp sound and intricate break edits, Breda's best bass music export Coco Bryce and Amsterdam based Yorobi.

For the night itself on the visual side of things I was responsible for creating event visuals. These visuals were projected live on the night itself and used to make a teaser video.

The aftermovie was shot by Fuj Fujimura and editted by myself.
