Shelter Point were the flagship signing to my joint-venture label Space + Time Records, housed at RCA / Sony Music.

When putting a record out, the artwork and videos were as important as the music for me, and this EP is a prime example of that.

As a massive fan of the Stone Roses and the free art prints that were available in the 12's, I wanted to ape the fact the record could also be used as a piece of art if you were a real fan and had bought the 12".

We came up with the idea of using the different textures and layers of the music in the artwork, and came up with something really special.

The front cover of the 12 was matt black, with the logo in spot gloss, which made it mysterious and intriguing when racked out with all the other 12's in a record shop. On closer inspection when picked up the logo reveals itself.

The inner bag was then the total opposite, a really colourful close up of a crystal, which had been a running theme of the releases building up to this EP. This was our version of the John Squire art print. This helped us represent the beautiful swirling strings and melodies on the track.

Then the vinyl itself was as clear as we could make it, again a total opposite.

All copy on the inner bag and AA side of the vinyl was clean, clear and precise, replicating the beats and percussion used.

Much like the artwork, we produced an atmospheric and colourful video for the swirling lead track 'Fossil', and whilst we used dancers, we cut it to feature the out takes of their movement, again aligning it to the strange but beautiful nature of the track.
