"Collage Covers" - a series of short videos designed for Instagram for duo WAHL

During lockdown 2020, London duo WAHL required a series of videos that were specifically tailored for Instagram. The idea was to retain audience engagement whilst live shows weren't possible, but without falling into the cliche 'live session' trend that was becoming popular. We settled on the idea of creating each cover as a visual collage to represent the duo being apart, layering separate footage to give the impression they were still working as one. I took great inspiration from Man Ray, Eric Timothy Carlson (Bon Iver) and other areas of collage in order to create the series of videos. The project was a success and allowed the band to not only retain engagement, but in fact increase it.
