Lorelei

This project was a collaboration with musician Gwyneth Herbert in which music, art and science come together. In direct response to Gwyneth’s album, developed during an artist residency for Aldeburgh Music, I explored the science of cymatics as a live, interactive performance. The project was a symbiotic blend of time lapse photography, video and sound responsive kinetic works. The core of the visuals were created by using the live double bass feed to vibrate liquids, powders and a combination of materials.

Lorelei is a music video that stands alone from the live performance.
