Aidan McCarthy is a London based photographer and film maker with a background in the fashion industry, working with both avant garde designers and editorial clients. More recently he has developed a series of new, conceptual documentary portfolios in which he explores moods of mystery, beauty and the metaphysical. These are the fugitives that he is trying to trap. He is interested in the transformational and metaphorical power of photography, and in particular looking to create layered photographs and films which demand measured contemplation in a fast moving world. His motifs are slowness, counterpoint and associative thinking.
