I'm an experienced music video director/producer, running Silvertip Films, where I work alongside other Directors and creatives to produce our output.

I've produced and directed music videos for many indie and unsigned acts over the last 12 years, shooting throughout the UK and around the world for them. They've been broadcast domestically and internationally on channels including MTV Base, AKA, Flava, Kerrang and Smash Hits. Recently I have directed and produced work for signed acts on major labels.

I'm a big fan of capturing a band or acts energy with a performance piece, loading the video with charisma and personality from the band and dynamic camerawork and lighting from the crew. On the flipside, I love a cinematically-shot narrative which can engage the viewer...or I like to combine both styles into one form and create something visually and emotionally compelling.

I've directed videos for pop acts, heavy metal bands, singer / songwriters and urban stars. I like to adapt my style for each new project and try something different whilst retaining the core of what makes a video mine. I like to see an act relaxed in front of the camera and delivering a great performance for their existing fans and those that will be converted when they see the video.

Acts I have shot have included Janet Devlin, Shy and DRS, Echo Boom Generation, Schemata Theory, The Undivided, Grave Digger and Si Cranstoun. I also produced and / or animated content for Robbie Williams at IE Music, Calvin Harris at Sony and Graham Parker at Universal and content for other acts including Snakehips, Eric Clapton, Cream, Sex Pistols and more.

Silvertip Films has been commissioned for work via Creative Commission on a number of occassions including the Robbie Williams lyric videos (x2) and 4 x Leif Erikson animated pseudo videos.

Other work I have directed and produced has seen me shoot live sessions and interviews for MUZU.TV with acts including Ringo Starr, Stooshe, Lawson, The Script, Cheryl and Ellie Goulding. I've also directed and produced corporate promo videos for clients like Sony Latin America, Thomas Cook, BT Expedite, Spinal Research, Grand Prix Legends and North Highland.

I'm influenced by a huge range of things including movies, comic books, video games and TV shows. I like a wide range of genres and styles with a heavy lean toward sci-fi and fantasy but I mostly like engaging characters (whether they are on a spaceship or down the pub) going on a thrilling journey, making us laugh or making us cry whilst being visually arresting.

I'm looking to meet acts who want to collaborate and try something new - I want nothing more than to make some really creative ideas come to life and produce videos which will make people laugh, make them think, make them sad, make them happy, make them feel sexy or just to make them want to head bang or get up and dance...let's see what we can do together!
