Megan Hirst is very interested in creating creature and character designs which visually aid in telling deep and complex narratives. She often explores the concepts of mental illness, loss, sexuality, sin and religion in my practice, and hopes to promote self-reflection and tolerance in her audience. There is nothing more enticing than a well-crafted narrative which you can inexorably lose yourself in. Megan creates her work both digitally and traditionally, preferring a monotone, sketchier line. Creatures and characters are of great importance to her, and in telling their stories she hopes to both entertain and move her audience.
