My name is Stephen Gallacher, I am a freelance assistant director who has directed several short films, with some festival success including being nominated for a Golden Trellick at Portobello, a raindance.tv youtube award, shortlisted for the Shortlist Raindance competition, and winner of best original score for another short film.

I have also recently finished my first micro-budget feature film.

Over the last year i have spent time in Asia and then I worked in Australia on varying film projects and learning how other countries make films. My goal is to work and travel all over the world. Most recently I just came back from another shoot in Spain and hoping to go to Canada.

However my aim is to expand on my directing skills and do as much directing as I can, whether that is here in the UK or abroad. Whilst I work as an AD I try ti always make a short film whilst on a project, and I managed that on two projects over the last year.
