Stuart is an experienced art director, graphic designer and image maker. His career began at the iconic music and style magazine Sleazenation and he has since launched his own music magazine, The Void, and art directed the music and youth culture magazine Disappear Here – the launch cover of which was voted #197 in Computer Arts magazines '200 Best Moments in Design Ever'.

In 2014 Thames & Hudson published his first book 'Collector's Edition: Innovative Packaging and Graphics' a visual culture book that documents the new wave of limited, special and deluxe edition graphic design and packaging created for the music, book and magazine industries. In the spirit of his first book, Stuart commissioned the Collector's Edition 'Artist Cover Bomb' series where he invited world famous musicians and artists to draw directly onto the cover of a standard edition cover. Contributors included Sir Paul McCartney, Nick Cave, Wayne Coyne, Peter Gabriel, Stanley Donwood, Robert 3D Del Naja and The Designers Republic.

Stuart's work is recognised for his typographic approach to graphic design, which he utilises to design non-fiction book covers about music, philosophy, screenprinting and media. In his spare time he creates experimental typographic screen prints that are sold through galleries nationally.
