Field - "dusk" EP Artwork

I created the artwork and social media materials for Field's latest EP, "dusk."

Field is a electronic and indie producer from Paris, and his music carries a strong sense of place and subtle emotions, like a fleeting moment. To match this atmosphere, I took a series of film photographs in the hills of Los Angeles - film has an ephemeral quality, and is able to show emotions more vividly than digital. Each photo echoes a specific song off the EP.

I then used a curvy and unique serif font to complement the artwork, giving the latter character and purpose. I created artworks for the single, "girl," and for some of the other tracks, to give the EP a strong visual presence on Spotify and Soundcloud. I designed a Soundcloud banner and Instagram stories to accompany the release of the EP.

Field's "dusk" EP is a conversation between media: in addition to music, it features a spoken poem that was written as complement to the other tracks. For the artwork, I chose a similar approach: I created a dialogue between film photography and design, each element chosen carefully to compliment the EP together.
